The payments moratorium solution is only available for personal needs loans and loans guaranteed with mortgage (including First House).

For what period can the deferral of payment of the rates be made and on the basis of which criteria?
Depending on the situation you are facing, you can opt for deferred payment for 3 months.
Applications for payment moratorium can be sent as of March 18, 2020 (the date on which an official statement was sent by BRD), using the dedicated form, available here. After submitting the request, a counselor will contact you and, depending on your situation, you will have the option to defer payments for 3 months.
Thus, after establishing and respecting the conditions, you can benefit from the deferred payment starting with the due date in April.

If I do not receive an answer by the installment due date in April, should I pay it? If I do not have this possibility, what happens?
Payment can be postponed starting with the installment due in April. Considering that there are a lot of requests for work, in case you were not contacted by our team until the installment due date in April, we recommend you pay the installment for this month, and the payment moratorium will start with the amounts due in May. If you do not have this possibility, you can try to pay this rate until the end of the deferral period so as to avoid any penalties and reports to the Credit Bureau.

I am isolated at home and I do not know how long this situation will last. Do I need to present any supporting documents?
The solution that we propose now and which consist of payment moratorium for 3 months, does not require the presentation of any supporting document. It is sufficient to access the brd.ro website and fill in the dedicated form (available here), and you will receive a response from the bank as soon as possible.

The solution offered by the bank represents a deferral payment solution for 3 months. In this period, you may not pay the principal and the interest of your monthly instalments. The life / property insurance, needs to be payed, in case you have one.
You may request the deferral of payment solution as a co-borrower, in case the borrower is unable to request the solution.

If my situation becomes critical, my family will need to pay the instalments, or they will be covered by my life insurance?
