Damir Očko exhibition in Bucharest

Between 13th and 23th of December, Eastwards Prospectus Gallery presents in partnership with BRD - Groupe Société Générale Damir Očko’s Repeat After Me exhibition. The artist represented Croatia at the Biennial from Venice, 2015. Consisting of a collection of four movies, along with collages, sculptures, installations and music parts, Repeat after me is the first personal exhibition of Damir Očko in Romania and one of the most comprehensive presentations of his works until now.

Damir Očko creates around his movies, as central points, constellations of works that give the public a both intellectual and emotional experience. Through video, poetry, installations and works on paper he commonly explores the human body mechanisms in relation with the social and political context. The body becomes in this way a space of critic reflection about our violence, power, fragility or interaction with the surrounding environment.
