New partnership signed between BRD and Romanian Handball Federation

BRD Groupe Societe Generale and Romanian Handball Federation signed a sponsorship agreement for 2 years. BRD will be the main partner of the Romanian national handball teams, for all age groups.

The money will be used for supporting the competitive plan of Romanian national teams, including the participation of the National feminine teams to the Rio Olympics.

For the last two qualification games of the women’s national team to the European Championships in Sweden (away with Lithuania on June 1^st and home with Belarus on June 4^th in Piatra Neamţ) BRD assigned his position on the t-shirts as sponsor to the promotion of the public acquisition of Constantin Brâncuşi’s sculpture “Cuminţenia pământului”.

BRD’s General Secretary said: “The association of BRD and Romanian Handball Federation represents not only a sponsorship agreement, but also a strategic partnership for the progress of the Romanian handball. This is why we started to draw together with the federation an educational project around one of the most loved team sports through which we attract as many children as possible on the handball ground. In addition, we think that handball and its supporters have the strength to support national causes. The promotion of the public subscription for the acquisition of „Cuminţenia pământului” is one of them”.

BRD - Groupe Société Générale is the second bank in Romania and one of the biggest supporters of Romanian sport.
