Pages of happiness at Gaudeamus 2016

15 Nov 2016

Between 16 and 20 November 2016, BRD participated in the 23rd edition of Gaudeamus International Book and Education Fair from Bucharest.

Lately, the bank was a Main Partner of this bench-mark event of the Romanian cultural landscape.

At the two latest editions of the fair, BRD presented the cultural hotspot Stage9 in front of over 150,000 visitors, as some experimental spaces built around perceptions, where people should get into contact, in a way, with the emotions, thoughts and feelings that culture produces in them, in its different forms.

This year, the all-mighty visual staged in the exposition space of BRD, is a pleading to return to the imagination and to the perception on the world, by means of the artistic language. Long before the invention of photography, with its definitive perspective on details, the visual representation of the world took shape only through the imagination of the artists, as some creatures that only lived in their reproductions.

In 2015, the space was created as a mirror and word maze that revealed visitors a physical dimension of emotions: love, fear, joy, despair, anger and calm. All of those could be touched and lived, imagined, rejected or embraced within a space in which their own image was reflected indefinitely, in tens of mirrors, and the feelings, multiplied a thousand times.

”The most read book fair, from the most listened radio”, as defined by its organiser, Radio Romania, is a perfect meeting point with those having a vivid imagination and consuming culture.
