A better efficiency for public transportation systems with the use of contactless payments

BRD is the first Romanian bank which developed its own concept for contactless payment in public transport. Based on a technical platform certified by MasterCard as a unique model at an European level, the integrated solution „BRD Transport” was implemented in cities like Sibiu, Constanta, Galati, Brasov and Arad and granted awards by specialized publications in Romania. It was presented in 2012, as a first, at the World Public Transport Conference in London.

Romanian weekly „Business Magazin” presents, in the pages of this week’s issue, the succesfull experience of the Sibiu public transport company, the first to implement the system made by BRD.
