BRD Groupe Société Générale received yesterday evening, in the framework of the e-Finance Magazine Awards Gala, the „e-Mobile banking” award, for the launch, in 2013, of MyBRD Mobile, the newest and most complex mobile banking app on the Romanian market.

Launched last November, MyBRD Mobile has almost 30,000 users who performed 17,000 transactions worth more than EUR 5.5 million.

MyBRD Mobile offers its users the possibility of making money transfers, paying their bills and obtaining financial information instantaneously, directly on their mobile phones. The app offers customers the most innovative transfer solutions, like scanning barcodes, QR codes transfers and phone number transfers.

The application is compatible with smartphones (iOS, Android and Windows) and tablets (iPad, Android), being available for free download in the virtual app stores. Also, MyBRD Mobile is optimised for mobile browser access at www.mybrdmobile.ro and through USSD at *117#.

After the launch of MyBRD Mobile, the Romanian mobile banking market has grown up almost 15% in two months. During this time, the app has been twice selected bi iTunes in the „What’s Hot in Finance” category.
