BRD, In the Top 10 Most Valuable Companies in Romania

26 Nov 2014

Ziarul Financiar launched last night a new edition of the “100 Most Valuable Companies in Romania” Yearbook. The yearbook is an attempt to turn the economic figures of companies into tangible values.

BRD Groupe Societe Generale is ranked 9th most valuable company, with a value of EUR 1.247 Bn. BRD is the only bank in the Top 10, which is dominated by large companies in energy (Petrom, Romgaz, Hidroelectrica), telecom (Orange, Vodafone, RCS&RDS) or the automotive industry (Dacia).

The assessment of companies in the ranking was carried out on the basis of 2013 financial figures in the case of unlisted companies and the capitalization of November 7, 2014 for companies listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
