Hyperion II Train, Financed By BRD and BRD Sogelease, Had Today Its Inaugural Trip

Softronic inaugurated today its second Hyperion electric train. The first trip took place between Craiova and Bucharest.

The new train was symbolically inaugurated in the Bucharest North Station in the presence of BRD and BRD Sogelease top management – BRD and BRD Sogelease financed the project – and of the Chairman of Softronic’s board.

The new train will operate on the line Craiova – Bucharest – Brasov beginning with late September.

Hyperion is made by Softronic, the only manufacturer of locomotives and electric trains in Eastern Europe.

Hyperion is a modern multi-unit train able to transport in the best conditions 188 passengers. The train is made of 4 air-conditioned cars and offers Internet access, electrical outlets, a coffee machine and a small library.
