As of June 22nd, BRD - Groupe Société Générale starts paying the dividends for 2011

On Friday, June 22nd, 2012, BRD - Groupe Société Générale starts paying the dividends for 2011 to the shareholders registered with the Shareholders' Register as at May 14th, 2012.

The shareholders who hold current accounts with BRD - Groupe Société Générale will receive the dividends in the respective current accounts.

The shareholders who have previously requested that the payment be made in accounts opened with other banks will receive the dividends in the indicated accounts, according to their option.

The shareholders who have not indicated an account for the transfer of the dividends are expected in any BRD agency, starting June 22nd, 2012, to request the payment of the dividends by transfer or in cash.

The General Meeting of the Shareholders of BRD - Groupe Société Générale of April 26th, 2012, set a gross dividend of RON 0.16690 per share. According to the legal regulations in force, the dividend tax rates are: 16% for natural and juridical persons that are resident in Romania, as well as for the Romanian open-end investment funds, 0% for the optional pension funds and for the private pension funds in Romania, and 0% for the pension funds established in EU or EFTA. For the non-resident natural and juridical persons, the applicable tax rate is 16%. In order to benefit from tax rates lower than the 16% rate stipulated in the bilateral double taxation agreements between Romania and the countries of residence of the shareholders that are not resident in Romania, these shareholders must submit, before the dividend payment date, the tax residence certificate issued in original by the tax authority in their country of residence, or a copy of such certificate along with the original notarised translation made by a specialised body in Romania.

The bank has approximately 2.5 million customers and operates a network of more than 930 branches. BRD is part of Société Générale Group, one of the largest financial services groups in the Euro zone.
